Playdough is fun and easy to make at home—and with our “Dough-It-Yourself” Playdough Packs, it’s even simpler! Just add water, and you’ll have our signature Doughnique Playdough ready in minutes. Use it on its own for hours of creative play, or refill your existing kits to keep the fun going!
Each Pack includes:
- 3 bags of dry mix (makes three 5.5oz batches of dough which fit into the standard dough jars used in both our Mini and Deluxe Kits.)
- 3 bottles of coloured scent mix (Strawberry Pink, Lemon Yellow and Blueberry Blue)
⚠️ Caution
- This playdough recipe uses hot (boiled) water, which can cause burns if handled improperly. Children should never handle hot water alone.
- Adult participation is required.
- Always keep children at a safe distance until the mixture has cooled to a safe temperature.
- Not suitable for children under 3 years old.
- While the dough is 100% taste-safe, it is NOT food.
Instructions:
- Choose a Dry Mix Pack, pour the contents into a small mixing bowl and make a small well in the centre.
- Select a Scent Mix and pour into the well.
- Add 1/4 cup of boiled water into the well, on top of the Scent Mix – adult participation required.
- Mix quickly but gently, with a spatula, scraping the sides until all ingredients are fully incorporated and there is no dry mix remaining.
- Keep mixing for a few minutes as the dough comes together and cools.
- Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead by hand until the dough feels squishy, soft and smooth.
- Once fully cooled, it’s safe to play with!
Special Instructions:
- Store playdough in a cool, dark place for months of play.
- If the playdough starts to form salt crystals or dry out, simply knead in a few drops of water or vegetable oil.
- Play with often for the softest, longest-lasting dough!
Due to choking hazard, this kit is not advised for children under 3 years old.
